Lochmann (Paulskaya)
Georg Lochmann, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Georg Lochmann and his wife Elisabet are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Paulskaya on 7 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 18 along with his new wife Elisabeth and an orphan Peter Schwarz (18). The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Lochmann and Schwarz families.
In 1786, Georg Lochmann and his family moved from Paulskaya to the Caucasus. They returned to Paulskaya where he died.
His widow and children moved to Schaffhausen.
The 1767 census records that Georg Lochmann came from the German village of Bach in the Darmstadt region.
