Tobias Löffler, a farmer, and his wife immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), arriving in the city of Schleswig on 20 May 1761. They swore allegiance to King Friedrich of Denmark on 24 July 1761.
On 8 August 1761, they are recorded on the farmstead of Walthers Hof in the Danish colony of Christiansholm.
On 29 July 1762, they are recorded on the farmstead of Scheels Hof also in the colony of Christiansholm.
The parish register of Hohn [Denmark] records the baptisms of two sons born to Tobias Lefler & Maria Barbara Krebs: (1) Johann, baptized 5 May 1762; and (2) Tobias, baptized 12 November 1764.
The Löffler family is last recorded among the Danish colonies on 4 January 1765.
They joined the migration to Russia where the family settled in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 15 March 1766.
Tobias Löffler, a farmer, his wife Maria Barbara, and son Tobias (age 3) are recorded on the 1767 census of Rosenheim in Household No. 44.
Tobias Löffler and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Rosenheim in Household No. Rm30.
The Eichhorns record that Tobias Löffler came from the German region of Württemberg. The 1767 census records that Tobias Löffler came from the German village of Theresienheim in the Herzogtum Teschen [?].
