Discussion & Documentation

Andreas Loßacker (Lossacker) married Katharina Schreyer. They have 1 known daughter: Anna Maria, born 18 August 1763 in Gelnhausen.

Andreas Losacker, a farmer, his wife Katharina, daughter Anna (age 3), and mother-in-law Elisabeth [surname not recorded] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a galliot named Der Junge Mattias (The Young Mattias) under the command of Skipper David Wohlert.

Andreas and his wife arrived in Hildmann on 20 June 1767, but daughter Anna Maria is not recorded there in Household No. 12. Whereabouts of the mother-in-law, Elisabeth, is unknown.

Andreas is recorded on the 1798 Census of Hildmann in Household No. Hd02, along with his new wife.

The parish register of Hildmann records the death of Andreas Losacker (age 78) on 21 August 1806.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Losacker came from the German village of Gelnhausen.
