Johann Lutzhoff, a farmer, his wife Maria, and their son Just (age 19) settled in the Volga German colony of Enders on 27 March 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 23 along with newborn daughter Maria Magdalena (age 1).

The 1767 census records that Johann Lutzhoff came from the German village of Schleswig in the Holstein region.
