Joseph Meder, a farmer, his wife Margaretha, and children (Johannes Baptist, age 19; Katharina, age 11; Johannes, age 9½; Elisabeth, age 2½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Kamenka in Household No. 85. They had arrived in Kamenka on 20 June 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Joseph Meder came from the German region of Mainz while the 1767 census records that he came from the German region of Aschaffenburg.
