The baptism of Michael Möhrlein, son of Pankratius & Barbara Möhrlein of Herzogenreuth, is recorded on 6 March 1739 in the parish register of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Tiefenpölz.
Michael Mehrlein, a farmer, and his wife Barbara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Die Wachsamkeit (Vigilance) under the command of Skipper Jacob Heinrich Sager.
Michel Mörlein [sic] and his wife Barbara are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Michael Mehrlein, a farmer, and his wife Barbara are recorded on the 1767 census of Leitsinger in Household No. 68. They had settled there on 5 September 1767.
Following the destruction of Leitsinger in 1774, this family resettled to Neu-Kolonie.
In 1788, Michael Mehrlein and his family moved from Neu-Kolonie to Hölzel.
Michael Mehrlein and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Hölzel in Household No. Hz38.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Michael Mehrlein came from the German region of Bamberg. The 1767 census records that Michael Mehrlein came from the German village of Herzogenreuth in the Bamberg region.
