Peter Metzger (age 13) is recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Orphan Peter Metzger (age 14) settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 176  along with a note that he is working as a day-laborer (Lohnarbeiter).

The 1767 census records that Peter Metzger came from the German region of Holstein.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Metzger family among the Volga German colonies.
