Discussion & Documentation:

Johann Peter Mohr, son of Johann Nicolaus & Maria Magdalena Mohr, was born in Ruschberg. His baptism on 13 October 1736 is recorded in the parish register of the Reformed Church in Baumholder.

Peter Mohr (Lohr incorrectly recorded by Plehve), a farmer, his wife Elisabeth [sic], and daughter Maria Barbara (age 2½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.

Peter Mohr and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Peter Mohr, a farmer, and his wife Anna Margaretha are recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 175. They had settled there on 26 August 1767.

Peter Mohr, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Johann Konrad, age 5; Jakob, age ¼; Anna Maria, age ¼) are recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No. 5.

Konrad Mohr, son of Peter Mohr, and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Norka in Household No. Nr098.

Johannes Mohr, son of Konrad Mohr, and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Hoffental.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Peter Moor came from the German district of Zweibrücken.
