Georg Mohr, a linen weaver (Leineweber), and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 24 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Лапоминк (Lapomink - a Russian river) under the command of Lieutenant Dmitry Krykov.
Johann Georg Mohr and his wife Anna Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 24.
In 1790, Georg Mohr and his family moved from Warenburg to Beideck.
The death of Johann Georg Mohr on 27 September 1796 is recorded in the parish register of Beideck. Age at death places his birth in October 1730.
Wilhelm Mohr, presumed to be the son of Georg Mohr, and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Beideck in Household No. Bd23.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Mohr came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Johann Georg Mohr came from the German village of Semd in the Darmstadt region.
