Friedrich Mohr, a butcher (Fleischer), and his wife Gertrude settled in the Volga German colony of Preuss on 12 May 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Warenburg in 1768.

The 1767 census records that Friedrich Mohr came from the German village of Oppenheim in the Kurpfalz region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Mohr family among the Volga German colonies.
