François Mounie (age 25), a farmer, and his wife Rosina Müller settled in Franzosen on 26 August 1766. They are recorded on the 1767 census of Franzosen in Household No. 57. The 1767 census records that François Mounie came from the village of Are in France.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
