Discussion & Documentation

There are multiple Müller lines in Frank.

Carl [sic] Ludwig Müller, a student (Studiosus) from the county of Hanau, married on 23 May 1766 in Lübeck to Anna Regina Hahn from the district of Düngen in the area of Franconia. The marriage is recorded in the parish register of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.

Ludwig Müller, a student, his wife Anna, and daughter Margaretha (age 5-days) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.

Johann [sic] Ludwig Müller and his wife, Anna Regina, arrived in the Volga German colony of Frank on 1 September 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 104.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Ludwig Müller came from the region of Thüngen. The 1767 census records that Johann Ludwig Müller came from the German region of Hannover.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Müller family among the Volga German colonies.
