Discussion & Documentation

Johann[es] Müller, a mason, his wife Anna Margaretha, and daughters (Anna Kunigunda, age 14; Anna Margaretha, age 5; Elisabeth, age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 28 July 1766 aboard a Russian galliot named Стрельна (Strelna - a village near St. Petersburg) under the command of Midshipman Login Sornev.

Johannes Müller, his wife Anna Margaretha, and children (Kunigunda, age 16; Margaretha, age 6; Elisabeth, age 3) are recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 102. They had arrived in Norka on 15 August 1767.

Daughter Anna Margaretha Müller (age 15) is recorded on the 1775 census of Norka in Household No 143.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann[es] Müller came from the German region of Isenburg. The 1767 census records that Johannes Müller came from the German region of Stolberg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Müller family among the Volga German colonies.
