Christian Müller, a farmer, his wife Anna Margaretha, and son Johann Michael (age 12) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Die Frau Dietrika under the command of Skipper Joachim Friedrich Luhn.
Christian and his wife died. Son Johann Michael settled in the Volga German colony of Walter and is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 63 along with Johannes Karl and his family. The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Müller and Karl families.
The 1767 census records that Michael Müller came from the German village of Eschach [?] in the Erbach region.
