Engelbert Mummert and his daughter [erroneously recorded as his wife] Henrietta arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Daniel Geier.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 5 March 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 171.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Engelbert Mummert was a weaver from the German region of Liegnetz. The 1767 census records that he was an "imposter" (Cyrillic = позуменщик) from Legind [?].
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
