Engelbert Mummert, a weaver, and his daughter [erroneously recorded as his wife] Henrietta (age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 7 May 1766 aboard the galliot named Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Daniel Heyer.
Widower Engelbert Mummert (age 44), a braider (Posamenter; позуменщик), and his daughter Henrietta (age 17) are recorded on the 1767 census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 171. They had arrived in Katharinenstadt on 5 March 1767.
Henrietta née Mummert (age 27), widow of [Wolfgang] Lechner, is recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 102 as the 2nd wife of Helfried Bott. [See Lechner & Bott Families.]
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Engelbert Mummert came from the region of Liegnetz. The 1767 census records that he came from Legind [?]. The 1776 Katharinenstadt Land Register records that Henrietta née Mummert came from Amsterdam.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
