Konrad Nagel, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Galka on 27 July 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 50.

Konrad Nagel and his wife are recorded on the 1798 census of Galka in Household No. Gk63.

The death of Konrad Nagel in 1817 is recorded on the 1834 census of Galka in Household No. 177.

The 1767 census records that Konrad Nagel came from the German village of Horbach in the district of Isenburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Nagel family among the Volga German colonies.
