Friedrich Neher, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Rosina Dorothea, and children (Georg Friedrich, age 12; Maria Christina, age ¼) are recorded on the 1767 census of Messer in Household No. 33. They had arrived in Messer on 18 June 1767.
The 1767 census records that Friedrich Neher came from the German village of Ulm.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
