Heinrich Neubauer, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 6 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34.

In 1792, Michael Neubauer moved from Kamenka to Preuss.

Michael Neubauer from Kamenka and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Preuss in Household No. Ps71.

Michael Neubauer and his sons are recorded on the 1811 census of Preuss in Household No. 71.

Ludwig Neubauer from Preuss, son of Michael Neubauer, and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Seelmann in Household No. 102.

The 1767 census records that Heinrich Neubauer came from the German village of Kaiserslautern.
