Neubert (Brabander)*

Johann Neubert and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Kronshlot under the command of Skipper Ivan Kunakovskii.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 26 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No 99.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Neubert was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a brickmaker (Ziegelbrenner).

Both the Oranienabum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Neubert came from the German region of Würzburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Neubert family among the Volga German colonies.
