Discussion & Documentation

Georg Neubert arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin. He was traveling with his sister Katharina and her husband Kaspar Batthauer.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 25 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 5.

Neither the Oranienbaum passenger list nor the 1767 census record from where Georg Neubert came.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Neubert family among the Volga German colonies.
