Georg Niesin, a farmer, settled in the Volga German colony of Shcherbakovka on 15 June 1765. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 34 along with his new wife Sophia.
The 1767 census records that Georg Niesin came from the German village of Tonrod in the Holstein region.
