Johann Friedrich Nordberg, a tailor (Schneider), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Galka on 12 August 1764. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 62.

The 1767 census records that Johann Friedrich Nordberg came from the village of Luvis [?] in Switzerland.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
