Nowak (Kamenka)
Paul Nowak and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 May 1766 aboard the Danzig galliot Die Hoffnung under the command of Johann Heschke. They settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 1 March 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 61.
In 1792, Johann Nowak moved from Kamenka to Pfeifer.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Paul Nowak is a shoemaker while the 1767 census records that he is a farmer. The Oranienbaum passenger list also records that Paul Nowak is from Marienburg in Poland while the 1767 census records that he is from Fisch.
