Kaspar Nuss, a farmer, and his wife Margaretha Kelker settled in the Volga German colony of Dönhof on 18 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 99 along with Margaretha's brother (Balthasar, age 18).
The 1767 census records that Kaspar Nuss came from the German region of Isenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Nuss family among the Volga German colonies.
