Nussbaum
Mattias Nussbaum, a guild-master (Zunftbürger), his wife Johanna, and son Anton (age ½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Chasselois in Household No. 2. They had settled in Chasselois on 2 August 1766.
Following the destruction of Chasselois, the Nussbaum family relocated to the colony of Louis.
Anton Nussbaum, son of Mattias Nussbaum, and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Louis in Household No. Ls38.
The death of Anton Nussbaum in 1827 is recorded on the 1834 census of Louis in Household No. 110.
The 1767 census records that Matthias Nussbaum came from the German village of Saarburg in the Trier region.
