Otto (Bangert-2)*
Conrad Otto, a mason (Maurer) from Usingen, & Cathar. Elisab. Laut from Usingen were married on 17 July 1766 in Pastor Möllraht's house in Lübeck. The marriage is recorded in the parish register of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church in Lübeck.
Konrad Otto, a farmer, his wife Katharina along with his mother-in-law Katharina [surname not recorded] and sister-in-law Eva Anna (age 10) [surname not recorded] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Der Junge Mattias under the command of Skipper Johann Gottfried Selander.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Bangert on 1 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 15.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Otto came from the German region of Nassau. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Mittelhausen in the region of Nassau-Usingen.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Otto family among the Volga German colonies.
