Paschau*
Johannes Paschau and his wife Anna Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Die Neue Freiheit von Bremen under the command of Skipper Steingrawer.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 13 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 9.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Paschau was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a stone mason (Maurer).
The 1767 census records that Johannes Paschau came from the German village of Schmierlach in the region of Oberelz.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
