David Pen, a craftsman (Handwerker), and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 31.
The 1767 census records that David Pen came from the German village of Panenau [?] in the Württemberg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
