The marriage of Johann Georg Peter from Burghuhn & Anna Margaretha Schäfer, daughter of Weigant Schäfer from Langenschwartz, is recorded on 12 June 1766 in the parish register of Büdingen.

Georg Peter, a farmer, his wife Anna, and his brother Peter arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Reders.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 25 August 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 43.

The Büdingen marriage register records that Johann Georg Peter came from the German village of Burghuhn. The 1767 census records that Georg Peter came from the German village of Rothenkirchen (the neighboring village to Burghuhn) in the Fulda region.
