André Pinar was born in approximately 1785. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental.
He is recorded on the 1834 census of Mariental in Household No. 225 along with a note that he relocated to the colony of Louis in 1818.
He is recorded on the 1834 census of Louis in Household No. 68. He is recorded on the 1850 census of Louis in Household No. 95 along with a note that he had died in 1850.
