Johann Bollet [sic], a farmer, his wife Katharina, and daughters (Margaretha, age 19; Barbara, age 12) arrived from Lübeck via Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 27 May 1766 aboard a pinque named Слон (Slon - Elephant in Russian) under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
Johannes Pollet, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and daughter Barbara (age 14) are recorded on the 1767 census of Preuss in Household No. 47. They had settled there on 12 May 1767.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Bollet [sic] came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that Johannes Pollet came from the German village of Hattersheim in the Kurmainz region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Pollet family among the Volga German colonies.
