Johann Ernst Bob [sic], son of Hans Bob & Johaneta Ruger, was born 25 April 1675 in Vonhausen.

The births of the following children born to Johann Ernst & Anna Elisabeth Bopp [sic] are recorded in the parish register of Vonhausen: (1) Anna Cathrina, born 14 February 1706; (2) Johann Caspar, born 12 December 1708; (3) Anna Elisabeth, born 20 September 1711; (4) Elisabeth, born 7 January 1714; (5) Johann Michael, born 1 January 1719; (6) Maria Elisabeth, born 19 October 1721; and (7) Christina, born 21 May 1724.

Caspar Bopp [sic] married on 6 January 1735 in Vonhausen to Anna Elisabeth Loth.

Caspar & Elisabeth Bopp had one child born in Vonhausen: Anna Christina, born 20 October 1748. [She immigrated to Russia also along with her husband Heinrich Bauer (see Bauer family) and they settled in Kutter.]

Caspar Bopp [sic] from Vonhausen & Anna Dorothæe Daut, widow of Friedrich Daut from Diebach, were married on 9 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.

Kaspar Popp, a farmer, his wife Anna, and childen (Maria Elisabeth, age 16; Johann, age 13) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the ship Der Junge Mathias under the command of Skipper David Wollert.

Kaspar Popp, his wife Anna Dorothea, and daughter Maria Elisabeth (age 17) are recorded on the 1767 census of Messer in Household No. 82. They had settled there on 18 June 1767.

Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Kaspar Popp came from the German region of Isenburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Popp family among the Volga German colonies.
