Röder (Pfeifer)*
Johann Röder, a farmer, his wife Anna Katharina, and children (Ottilia, age 19½; Anna Margaretha, age 17; Daniel, age 12; Johann, age 7; Johann Georg, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 July 1766 aboard the ship Apollo under the command of Skipper Friedrich Detloff Mörenberg.
Johann died after arriving in Russia. His widow and children settled in the Volga German colony of Pfeifer on 20 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 73.
Johannes & Kunigunda Röder are recorded on the 1834 census of Pfeifer in Household No. 27. There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Johann Röder came from the German region of Fulda.
