Röhrig (Paulskaya)
Martin Röhrig, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
He married Sophia, widow of Theobald Schade, and they settled in the Volga German colony of Paulskaya on 7 July 1767. The combined Röhrig / Schade family is recorded on the 1767 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 30.
In 1795, Johann Adam Röhrig moved from Paulskaya to Kaneau.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Martin Röhrig came from the German region of Nimek [?] while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Werbach.
