Rüber*
Christoph Röber [sic], his wife Anna Maria, and children (Christoph, age 19; Margaretha, age 11) are recorded on the 1767 census of Dönhof in Household No. 13. They had settled there on 21 July 1766.
Christoph Ruber [sic], his wife Anna Maria, son Christoph, daughter-in-law Anna Maria, and granddaughter Anna Maria Barbara (age 1) are recorded on the 1775 census of Dönhof in Household No. 15.
Anna Maria Weber, widow of Christoph Ruber, and their daughter are recorded on the 1798 census of Dönhof in Household No. Dh010.
The 1767 census records that Christoph Röber [sic] came from the German village of Wittenberg in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
[The Eichhorns record that this Christoph Rüber family immigrated first to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), but that family is actually Christoph Rube that settled in the colony of Schilling.]
