Rach (Brabander)
Sebastian Rach, a farmer, his wife Karitas, and children (Franz, age 13; Christian, age 12; Anna Maria, age 8; Joseph, age 2½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Frei Gebruder under the command of Skipper Minzberger.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Brabander on 11 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.
The 1767 census records that Sebastian Rach came from the German village of Oberstadt in the Schwaben (Swabia) region.
