Rausch (Göbel)
Johann Rausch, a farmer, his wife Gertruda, and their daughter Anna Margaretha (age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the galliot Die Fortuna under the command of Skipper Peter Stahl.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 20 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 48. The 1767 census records that Gertruda's maiden name is Heisling.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Rausch came from the German region of Mainz. The 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Koster in the Kurmainz region.
