Rausch (Hockerberg)
Johann Rausch, a farmer, his wife Christina, son Johann (age ½), and servant Johann [Rausch?] (age 20) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina under the command of Skipper Johann Joachim Janson.
Johannes Rausch, his wife Catrina [sic], and sons [sic] (Johann Georg, age 20; Johann Conrad, age ½) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from Oranienbaum to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that young Johann Conrad died in route.
Johannes Rausch, a farmer, and his wife Christina are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 55.
Johann Rausch and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Hockerberg in Household No. Hb16.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Rausch came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Johannes Rausch came from the German village of Freidenried.
