Rausch (Hussenbach)
Johann [Georg] Rausch, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth [Speier] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Johann Georg Rausch and his wife Anna Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Hussenbach. The 1798 census of Hussenbach records Georg Rausch and his family in Household No. Hs068.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Rausch came from the German region of Hanau.
