Georg Rausch (age 27) and his brother Heinrich Weitz arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 20 August 1766 aboard a galliot named Catharina Eleonora under the command of Skipper Peter Rehder.
Johann Georg Rausch and his [new] wife Anna Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Johann [Georg] Rausch, a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth are recorded on the 1798 census of Hussenbach in Household No. Hs068.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Rausch came from the German region of Riedesel.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Rausch family among the Volga German colonies.
