Johann Caspar Rausch, son of Johann Heinrich Rausch, was baptized 31 August 1740 in Helpershain. Anna Maria Hünergarth, daughter of Johann Adam Hünergarth, was baptized in Helpershain on 6 February 1741.
Johann Caspar Rausch and Anna Maria Hünergarth were married in Büdingen on 19 June 1766.
Johann Kaspar Rausch, a farmer, and his wife Anna Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 August 1766 aboard the galliot named Die Perle (The Pearl) under the command of Skipper Gerhardt Hermann Thomsen.
Johann Caspar Rausch and his wife Anna Maria are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Yagodnaya Polyana on 1 September 1767, and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 11. The couple were both still living at the time of the 1798 Census, and are recorded in Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. Yp09.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Kaspar Rausch came from the German region of Darmstadt.
