Discussion & Documentation

Thomas Reger, a soldier, and his wife Anna Maria settled in the Volga German colony of Mariental on 14 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 52 along with orphan Magnus Knauf (age 22).  No relationship between the Reger and Knauf families is recorded on the 1767 census.

The 1767 census records that Thomas Reger came from the German district of Mannheim.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Reger family among the Volga German colonies.
