Andreas Reier, a tailor (Schneider), his wife Margaretha, and [step-]son [Hans] Otto (age 11) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 May 1766 aboard the galliot named Adler (Eagle) under the command of the Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
Andreas Reyher [sic] is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They arrived in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 56 along with stepson Hans Otto.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Andreas Reier came from the German region of Mecklenburg. The 1767 census records that Andreas Reier came from the German village of Neu-Brandenburg in the Mecklenburg region.
There are not known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
