Evangelische Kirche Gross Zimmern records his marriage in Gross Zimmern, Dieburg (Hessen-Darmstadt Germany) 7 May 1762 to Anna Margaretha Hornung:

Hornungs, Beckers und Gemeindsmann dahier, ehel. led.Tochter, wurden, weil sie nach der dänischen Colonie fortziehen wollten, um sich kurz vorher mit Einwilligung ihrer Eltern öffentlich verlobt hatten, privatim, doch nach eingelangter oberamtl. Erlaubnis, und in Gegenwart Hr. Amtschultheissen Dietrichs, Mstr. Wend. Reinhards, Mstr. Georg Dietrichs, als Kirchen... Ludwig Schmidt, der mit fortgezogen, Mstr. Translation: [7 May 1762 Johann Peter Reinhart, legitimate unmarried son of Master cabinet maker Wendel Reinhard, local citizen, and Anna Margaretha, legitimate unmarried daughter of Master Johann Nicolaus Hornung, local baker and citizen, were married. Since they wanted to move to the Danish colony, they had been engaged publically, with the permission of their parents, they were married privately, yet with permission of the superior officials and in the presence of mayor Dietrich, Mstr. Wendel Reinhard, Master Georg Dietrichs, Ludwig Schmidt as church deacon who intends to go along, Mstr Daniel Störger, local butcher, and Anna Margaretha, widow of G. Hornung, godmother of the bride.]

Evangelische Kirche Gross Zimmern records the birth of Peter's brother Michael:

[1739] Michael, Mstr: Wendel Reinhardts und Anna Dorothea Söhnlein wurde gebohren d. 21 8br nachts zwischen 11 u. 12 Uhr und d. 23. ejusdem zur H. Tauffe getragen. Gevatter war Michael Reinhardt Einwohner und Gemeindesmann allhir.

Translation: [Michael, son of Master Wendel Reinhardt and Anna Dorothea, was born 21 Oct during the night between 11 and 12 o'clock and borne to Holy Baptism on 23 Oct. Sponsor was Michael Reinhardt, local inhabitant and citizen].

Evangelische Kirche Gross Zimmern records Michael's marriage to Dorothea Heim:

[1761] Michael Reinhart, SchreinersMeister und Gemeinsmann allhier, Wendel Reinharts, auch Schreiner-Meisters und Gemeindsmanns allhier ehel. Sohn, und Dorothea, Johannes Heyms, Krämers und Gemeindsmanns allhier ehel. Tochter, wurden d. 5. May nach Christl. Ordnung getrauet.

Translation: [Michael Reinhart, local master cabinet maker and citizen, son of Wendel Reinhart, also local master cabinet maker and citizen, and Dorothea, legitimate daughter of local shopkeeper and citizen Johannes Heym, were married in Christian ritual 5 May].

According to the Evangelische Kirche Gross Zimmern Familienbuch, Anna Dorothea Heim, daughter of Johannes Heim and Anna Maria Gerlach, was born 4 Aug. 1741 in Gross Zimmern.

Peter and Michael and their wives immigrated in 1763 to Denmark. For Peter, Clausen records: G 18/2 (first entry) 1763 Verl. + 1764 Erbf. Peter Reinhard 30 + Anna Margaretha 30, aus dem Darmstädtschen, Schnitzer und Bauer (Tagel.), nichts; 1.5.1765 des. [from the area of Darmstadt, wood cutter and farmer (day laborer), no possessions; deserted 1 May 1765]. For Michael, Clausen records: G 18/32 1763 Verl. 1764 Erbf.: Michel Reinhard 24 + Dorothea 22; aus dem Darmstädtschen; Tagel., nichts; 1.5.1765 des. [from the area of Darmstadt, day laborer, no possessions; deserted 1 May 1765].

They then immigrated to Russia. According to the 1767 Census of Dönhof, Peter Reinhardt, 34, Lutheran, farmer from Darmstadt, his wife Anna Margaretha, 34, and son Johannes, 7.5, arrived on 21 July 1766 in Dönhof. Arriving at the same time were his brother Michael, 27, Lutheran, farmer, and his wife Dorothea, 25, and their 2 daughters: Christina, 4, and Eva, 1.

Ludwig Reinhardt from Dönhof and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Rosenberg in Household No. 93.
