Johann Reiss, a farmer, and his wife Maria Margaretha settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 20 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 95.
The 1767 census records that Johann Reiss came from the German village of Büdingen.
