Reisch (Köhler)
Adam Reiss [sic] and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Perepechin.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Köhler on 21 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 46 where Adam is recorded with a new wife named Barbara Kümmel.
This Barbara Kümmel is believed to be the same Barbara Kimmel from Eiterfeld who had married Valentin Ahm from the area of Würzburg on 16 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.
Adam Reisch, his wife Maria Barbara Kümmel, and their family are recorded on the 1798 census of Köhler in Household No. Kl46.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Adam Reiss came from the German region of Würzburg.
The 1767 census records that Adam Reisch came from the German village of Gemünden am Main.
