Joseph Rekowski, his unnamed wife, and children (Barbara, age 16; Maria Magdalena, age 11; Joseph, age 7) settled in the Volga German colony of Kamenka on 6 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 14.

Son Joseph's widow and children are recorded on the 1798 census of Leichtling in Household No. Lg24.

The 1767 census records that Joseph Rekowski came from the Polish village of Poznan.
