Resch (Krasnoyar)*

Mattias Resch, a farmer, his wife Barbara, and children (Michael, age 23; Heinrich, age 21, Elisabeth, age 17) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Christina under the command of Skipper Jacob Stappenberg.

Widower Mattias Resch and his children (Heinrich, age 23; Elisabeth, age 18) are recorded on the 1767 census of Rosenheim in Household No. 71 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Krasnoyar in 1768. They had settled in Rosenheim on 27 June 1767.

The 1767 census records that Matthias Resch came from the Amganran in the Grafschaft Sinkan.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Resch family among the Volga German colonies.
