Reuscher (Norka)
Philipp Reuscher, son of Johannes Reuscher, was baptized in Altengronau on 26 August 1725. Philipp Reuscher married Anna Catharina Kühlmann from Altengronau on 5 March 1750.
The baptisms of 5 of the children of Philipp & Anna Catharina Reuscher are recorded in the parish register of Altengronau: (1) Johann Conrad, baptized 26 January 1750; (2) Johann Caspar, baptized 28 April 1753; (3) Johann Adam, baptized 6 October 1754; (4) Anna Barbara, baptized 5 May 1757; and (5) Gertrude, baptized 2 March 1759.
Philipp Reuscher, his wife Anna Katharina, and children (Konrad, age 18½; Kaspar, age 15½; Johann Adam, age 13; Gertruda, age 6; Margaretha, age 4½; Johann Peter, age 2) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the pink Slon under the command of Lieutenant Sergey Panov.
Philipp Reuscher, his wife Anna Katharina, and children (Konrad, age 16 [sic]; Kaspar, age 16; Johann Adam, age 14; Gertrude, age 7; Margaretha, age 5½; Peter, age 4) are recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 147. They had settled there on 15 August 1767.
Son, Kaspar Reuscher, is recorded on the 1798 census of Messer in Household No. Ms30.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Philipp Reuscher is a farmer while the 1767 census records that he is a craftsman. Both documents record that he came from the German district of Hessen.
