Geisbert Richter, a weaver (Weber), and his wife Anna settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 27 August 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 80.
Anna Maria née Kirschbaum (age 37), [presumed] widow of [Geisbert] Richter, is recorded on the 1776 Katharinenstadt Grundbuch [Land Register] in Household No. 130 as the wife of Heinrich Weimer.
The 1767 census records that Geisbert Richter came from the German village of Reiseweken [?]. The 1776 Katharinenstadt Land Register records that Anna Maria née Kirschbaum came from the German village of Kampfe in the region of Westfalen.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Richter family among the Volga German colonies.
