Anna Maria Ritter, wife of Rudolph Ritter, died 4 November 1761 in Unteralba. Widower Rudolph Ritter of Unteralba remarried on 7 January 1762 to Maria Magdalena Spiegel, daughter of Johann Georg & Anna Catharina Spiegel from Unteralba. She had been born 12 September 1747 in Unteralba.
The baptisms of two children to Rudolph Ritter and Maria Magdalena Spiegel is recorded in the parish register of Dermbach, each born in Unteralba: (1) Johann Georg, born 19 April 1763; and (2) Catharina Elisabeth, born 9 April 1765.
Rudolph Ritter and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard the galliot named Der Junge Mattias under the command of Skipper Johann Gottfried Selander.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dehler on 1 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 3.
The Oranienabaum passenger list records that Rudolph Ritter was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a tile maker (Fleisenleger).
The 1767 census records that Rudolph Ritter is from the German village of Unteralba in the Fulda area.
